Hey Kim,

Your family is beautiful!! I saw Marcie walking on campus the other day but I was on the bus. I went to my first volleyball game since the last year she played a month or so ago and I was very sad. I love my Gators and I bleed orange and blue, but that's not the same team that I am used to seeing. I miss the hard hittin days of Marcie, Jane, and Amber. Those were some good times. With Angie in the center. Oh man, the good ole days. But yeah, you should stop by sometime and check out practice. This week we're working on an 80's show. I choreographed a dance for the band, so if you'd really enjoy a laugh, come watch 350 band members try and dance to Michael Jackson's "Thriller". They are actually catching on faster than I thought, but then again, I'm teaching in the middle and can't see everyone. It's gonna be another great show though.

As far Duval, I am considered a consultant. A music consultant. As you know they have "majors" there and one of those majors is Steel Drum Band. When they got rid of their second music teacher, they asked me to continue to teach her major. I interned their in the previous SPring and they loved me so that was the proverbial "foot in the door" which worked out great. I love being able to be involved in the ed field and be a full time student. I do wish I had my own classes and could teach my own curriculum to an entire school, but that will come. I'm slightly ambitious. I have complete freedom with the Steel Drum class and its great. They students are learning and we're all having fun. It's only one class a day, but it's fun none-the-less.

People said I got married at too young an age but I figured I have a pretty good head on my shoulders, I know what I want and how to get it. I'm still in school, but its grad school and I've calmed down! lol. I think marriage all depends on the person. If you're ready, you're ready! And I totally want a huge family like yours! My dad was 4 of 6, and I want at least 4. With the economy how it is and budget cuts and what not, I don't know how wise that would be, but I'll find a way to make it work! ;)

Your blog looks great!!! Talk to you again soon! Please tell Marcie I said hey!

Hey Dre',
I love Michael Jackson's music and his dancing. He's a little weird, but what talent! I'll make sure I check out the show!
You are a PAID consultant at Duval, I hope! It's horrible what's happening with Music and Art. I know the music teacher that left Duval, Jenny was my sons' Boy Scout leader (this is Gainesville, it really is a small town). I probably know some of your students, too. There's a good bit of mobility in the east side schools.
I have a question for you...is there an age limit for joining the Gator band? I asked the former director, Gary Langford (his wife works at my school...small town again) but he didn't really answer me. Maybe he didn't want to dash my hopes. You can tell me the truth. :)
Take care,
Kim
